Colour Me Comedy Presents A Nubian Night with Kenny Robinson

September 24 2026

Kenny Robinson is coming to Edmonton and he is not here to be polite.

They call him the Godfather of Canadian Comedy, and the name stuck for a reason. For three decades his irreverent, socially conscious, unapologetically profane style has made him a fixture at comedy clubs, festivals, radio and television across the country. Winnipeg born and Chicago bred, he has been doing this longer than most working comics have been alive.

In 1995 he founded The Nubian Disciples Comedy Revue, a monthly showcase for Black and racialized comedians that still runs at Yuk Yuk's in Toronto. It gave a whole generation of comics a stage when nobody else would, and many of the country's brightest young comedians still call him a mentor.

He has hosted The Gemini Awards. He was nominated twice for his CBC special "Thick and Thin." He created, wrote, produced and hosted the late night series "After Hours with Kenny Robinson" on The Comedy Network.

But the credits are not the point. Raunchy, energetic, sharp witted and sharp dressed, Kenny is a one of a kind act. If you are easily offended, this is not your show. Everyone else, get in the room.

One night in Edmonton. Seats are limited.
